Acrylic Edge Polishing in Miami

Description

The edge is what separates a finished acrylic piece from a raw one. A saw-cut edge reads as unfinished no matter how good the rest of the fabrication is, and on clear acrylic it is the first thing a customer notices.

We polish to two standards.

Diamond polishing

A precision cutter removes material and leaves a true optical edge. Flat, square, and clear enough to see straight through.

This is the finish for anything a customer sees up close or under lights: jewelry vitrines, retail cases, acrylic furniture, awards, and any piece where the edge is part of the design rather than an afterthought. It is also the only finish that reliably holds a clean 90 degree edge, which matters when panels have to meet each other.

Flame polishing

A controlled flame melts the surface of the edge until it runs clear. Faster and more economical than diamond.

Right for interior edges, lower visibility parts, undersides, and pieces where you need the edge clear but not showroom perfect. Also the practical choice on curved or contoured edges that a diamond cutter cannot reach.

Laser-cut acrylic comes off our machine already flame-polished on the cut face, so on many jobs the finish is included in the cut.

Choosing between them

If the edge faces the customer, diamond. If it faces the wall, flame.

The honest version: diamond costs more and looks better, and on most projects you only need it on the edges that show. Tell us which faces are visible in the final install and we will spec each edge accordingly instead of polishing everything to the highest standard and billing you for it.

Part of the job, not a separate order

Most polishing we do is on parts we cut. Sending acrylic out to a second shop for edges means shipping, handling risk, and a chipped corner nobody wants to own.

We also polish parts fabricated elsewhere if you already have the material.

Why the Edge Finish Matters

Two polishing methods, chosen by where the edge lands in the finished piece.

True Optical Clarity

Diamond polishing cuts the edge rather than melting it, so you can see straight through the material. The finish for vitrines, cases, and furniture.

Square, Not Rounded

Flame rounds an edge slightly. Diamond holds a true 90 degrees, which matters when panels have to meet each other cleanly in an assembly.

Cost Where It Counts

Not every edge needs the top finish. We spec each face by whether the customer sees it, instead of polishing everything and billing you for it.

Often Already Included

Laser-cut acrylic comes off our machine flame-polished on the cut face. On many jobs the finish is part of the cut, not a line item.

Outside Work Welcome

We also polish parts fabricated elsewhere if you already have the material cut.

Why Fabricators and Designers Choose Our Finishing

Optical-Clear Diamond Edges

Diamond polishing you can see straight through. The finish for vitrines, cases, and furniture where the edge is part of the design.

Flame Finishing for Speed

Clear edges at a lower cost for interior faces, undersides, and contoured pieces a diamond cutter cannot reach.

Finished Where It's Cut

We polish the parts we fabricate, so nothing ships out to a second shop and comes back chipped.

what clients usually ask

How do I get a quote?

Send us your file, drawing, or even a rough sketch with the dimensions and material you need. We reply with pricing and a production timeline, usually within 24 hours. No commitment required.

What file formats do you accept?

Vector files work best: AI, DXF, EPS, or PDF. If you only have a photo or a hand sketch, send that too. We can build the production file from it.

Do you ship, or is it local pickup only?

Both. You can pick up at our Miami facility, or we arrange shipping after your order. Shipping is quoted separately based on size and destination.

What's your typical turnaround time?

It depends on the project size and complexity. Most standard jobs are ready within a few business days. We give you a firm timeline with your quote before you commit.

Do you work with businesses and individuals?

Yes. We handle everything from single custom pieces to large B2B production runs for retailers, architects, designers, and brands.

Everything is made in Miami?

Yes. We fabricate in-house in our Miami facility. Nothing is outsourced overseas, which means better quality control, faster turnaround, and direct communication throughout your project.
